The Grand Opening: A Symphony of Minds and Cultures 🎉

The International Chess Festival, a testament to Kerala's rich history in chess and its production of world-class players like Viswananth Anand, Nihal Sarin, and S L Narayanan, is set to occur. The event is a result of collaboration between Kerala and Cuba to honor the past and encourage sports cooperation. The Festival will be inaugurated by Hon. Chief Minister Sri. Pinarayi Vijayan and will take place from November 16 to 19, 2023, at the Hyatt Regency, Thiruvananthapuram. The Hon. Sports Minister Sri. V Abdurahiman will preside over the event. The festival is seen as an opportunity for local players to compete internationally and is open to public participation and viewing.
